It has often been said that if you look at your 5 closest friends, you can get a very strong indication of what your life is like.  Many times as we take up the quest for self-fulfillment,  we may lose some of our old friends.  Please understand that you are not really losing them, it is just that they are now growing with you.  Growth can sometimes be a painful process but ultimately it will bring you a deep and subtle joy.
